Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a type of therapy that focuses on strengthening emotional bonds between couples, family members, and friends. Based on Attachment Science, a robust developmental theory of personality and intimate relationships, EFT is a humanistic, systemic, and experiential psychotherapy that focuses on key emotions that shape individual experience and intimate bonds. This approach has been met with unprecedented success in helping distressed couples improve their relationship and deepen their bond, and has been acknowledged by the APA (American Psychological Association) as meeting the gold standard for research demonstrating its effectiveness.
In EFT, we'll work together to identify the underlying patterns and emotions that are contributing to your relationship difficulties. We'll explore your needs, feelings, and beliefs, and help you to express them more effectively to your partner or loved one.
Through this process, you'll learn to understand and manage your emotions better, develop greater empathy and compassion for yourself and your partner, and increase your emotional responsiveness to each other. EFT is a proven method to help people improve their communication, rebuild trust, and enhance the overall quality of their relationships.
EFT is a short-term therapy that typically consists of 8-20 sessions, depending on your specific needs and goals. The focus is on creating lasting change in your relationships and helping you develop the skills to maintain emotional intimacy and connection over the long term.

Yes. SF 538, known as the Gender Affirming Care Ban, is a law that prohibits medical professionals from providing gender-affirming healthcare services to transgender youth under the age of 18. The law makes it illegal for doctors to perform surgeries and to prescribe hormone replacement therapy to minors. It doesn’t, however, prevent you from seeking mental healthcare.
SF 538 has been met with criticism and opposition from many in the medical community, LGBTQ+ advocates, and human rights organizations who argue that the law discriminates against transgender individuals and denies them access to necessary healthcare.

Providers are required to provide private pay and clients with out-of-network insurance a Good Faith Estimate at the start of services.

We have a 'zero balance' policy, therefore payments are processed at time of service or missed appointment or cancelled appointment. Once insurance has processed your visit and determined monies owed, we process the money owed with your card on file and you will receive a receipt reflecting the payment applied.
Due to our small office size, we require a card on file in order to streamline the billing process so we may spend more time providing you the care you deserve.
